Good Values Returning to Redding and Shasta County Real Estate

The Real Estate Market in Redding and Shasta County has come of age in recent years. From 2000 to 2006 the number of available listings on the market fell dramatically and prices of homes, investment and commercial properties more than doubled. For homeowners and investors that bought early in the cycle, there was a good deal of wealth and equity to be made. As the cycle matured the market swung firmly in favor of real estate sellers, as buyers competed for an ever decreasing supply of listings.  

Today the pendulum is swinging back in favor of real estate buyers. Prices have dropped to late 2004 levels and the inventory level has swelled. The result is a real estate environment in Redding and Shasta County where buyers are able to choose from a larger amount of possibilities and get much more favorable terms and prices then in the last couple of years. But, as night follows day, the current buyers market will eventually be followed by the next sellers market.
